The Process:
Step 1 : Say hello!
Feel free to email me to discuss the artwork you have in mind and I will be happy to answer any questions you may have and provide advice on how to proceed with the commission. If you need the artwork done by a certain date, please let me know as soon as possible.
Step 2 : Decide on the details
I typically work to standard paper sizes and price my artworks accordingly. Custom sizes are more than welcome, just contact me to discuss your options. I also offer a 10% discount for not-for-profit organisations.
In some circumstances, I can offer a discount where I, as the artist, retain the copyright of the artwork, so that I may produce reproductions of the artwork (i.e. as prints, greeting cards, etc.). Please contact me to discuss this as an option.
Prices are a guide only and are subject to change at any time, for an accurate quote please contact me. Postage is an additional cost.
Step 3 : Supply the photographs
If you have good-quality reference photos available of the animal or pet(s) you would like drawn, please email these to me. Aspects of multiple photos may also be combined to achieve the best result. To assist with creating a realistic artwork, try to ensure photos are as large and clear as possible - the better the photo the better the artwork.
If you don’t have a photograph available of your chosen animal, I can typically source the reference material needed (free of charge). In this case, I will produce some photos for you to choose from and can sketch draft ideas/positions if required.

Step 4 : Time to book
Book and confirm your commission. A 20% deposit is needed to secure the booking and the balance is only paid when you are happy with your artwork.
Step 5 : The magic happens
Throughout the drawing process, I will send email updates as necessary on the progress to ensure the final work is completed to your satisfaction. I will then send through a final digital-copy for final approval before mailing the hard-copy to its new home!
The finished drawing will be sprayed with a fixative to protect the drawing and mailed unframed with backing board to ensure it arrives undamaged.
