The western brush wallaby (Macropus irma), otherwise known as the black-gloved wallaby or kwoora, is notoriously elusive and little is known about the species. Kwoora were once very common in south-west Western Australia but their numbers and range have significantly reduced, most likely due to hunting by early settlers, predation by foxes and habitat fragmentation.
